Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion of sprinting while during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first attempt, Felix finished second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school in 2003, and signed with Adidas an agreement as an athlete in professional competition. In the following year, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. The following year, Felix was awarded the first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking a junior world record by sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top three in all of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
