Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister from Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed a flair for athletics before she realized her athletic abilities when she was a student at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. After only 10 weeks after her first attempt, Felix finished second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to take classes in elementary school. Felix's first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set the record of world juniors for running 200m in 22.18 secs. She was the youngest world champion in the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, defeating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top 3 throughout her events in the Olympics that took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
